Duties: Operate a Standup Forklift (unload, move and load product) wrap pallets, label boxes, hand unload containers

Position Summary:

• Putting away product
• Wrap product
• Operating electric pallet jack for the purpose of moving location, relocating, picking, stacking, and counting product. Responsible for checking all inbound and outbound products.
• Ability to learn software quickly with RF.
• Maximize the performance of the site inventory processes and system to ensure care, custody and control of customer inventory, accuracy.
• Verify load accuracy check the load count stability and product damage report variances, as necessary.
• Audit/ count product
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management or customer
• Assist other departments as needed, such as break pack, audit, wrapping, etc.

Great Phoenix Building Materials Company hiring Material Handlers/Sit Down Forklift Operators. $19.00 an hour. Weekly schedule Monday-Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm. Occasional Saturdays. Contract to hire opportunity after 90 days. Job discretion: ***this position involves outdoor work, operating a forklift, and manually handling materials, including using tools like chainsaws. Candidate to be prepared and able to work outside in minimal covered areas, regardless of weather conditions*** Responsibilities The Material Handler performs daily distribution yard activities for a facility. Perform distribution-related functions (receiving, storing, and shipping/building of loads). Operate forklift. Ensure load matches order prior to vehicle exiting yard. Perform customer service activities. Material Handlers have broad in-depth knowledge of building material products and warehouse operations. Possess alertness and adaptation to warehouse routines. Understand and apply fundamental mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Maintain good housekeeping in work area. Follow safety programs and ensure compliance of OSHA regulation. Material Handlers demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
